Sometimes it ain't all work in the work.

I guess as difficult as it is to have a vintage motorcycle shop as your sole gig, it does have its perks. I had to test ride this really nice 1966 Bonneville the other day. So I took it up the Angeles Crest Highway, about 10 minutes from the shop and put it through a few paces. I do love me some twisties and nothing is better than doing it on an old Triumph like so many guys before. You get a real connection with the past when you realize how many guys have ridden this road before. Thanks to Frank K for the pics.

A Big Thanks to JRC ENGINEERING!!

Have you ever noticed the little labels on a lot of the packages that get sent to you with all those spare part goodies for your British bike? Ever wondered who JRC Engineering is? Well wonder no more. JRC Engineering has been around for 30 some odd years providing British Bike enthusiasts with lots of top notch British parts. You have to go pretty far out into the boonies to get to JRC Engineering. It is in Perris, CA, down a dusty, country road, but it is well worth it to give it a visit. Bill Getty, owner and manager, has been a British bike enthusiast all of his life and owned a small shop before taking over JRC about 20 years ago. If you are lucky, you can see all the bikes in Bill's collection. You can go visit, but they only sell to bonified shops; they don’t do any retail.

I want to give out a big shout out to JRC ENGINEERING and a big thanks to Bill himself for helping out with our Bonneville effort this year. He sponsored me with a whole wad of trick parts to help me rebuild my motor to tip-top condition. Thanks Bill and thanks to the staff for filling all my orders and dealing with my obscure questions.

Grand National Roadster Show WIN!!

Hate to blow our own horn here, but if we don't who else will, ya know?? We took the WL to the Grand National Roadster Show this past weekend and won first place in the Early Chopper category. You may also notice the WL on the front of the Horse Magazine this month. The WL is racking them up. Thanks again for the hard work of Jeff, Andy and Frank. They ran out of First Place Trophies by the time they awarded the motorcycle awards so it is arriving later. Here is the "Outstanding use of Color Award" we also won. Big props to the short but infamous Nick-O-Teen on the paint.
